Board Goals 2026-2027
 

Goal 1: As a Board, model the values of critical thinking, lifelong learning, problem solving, civic responsibility, good communication, leadership and collaboration by modifying the methods and locations of Board Meetings.

• Utilize working sessions as needed throughout the year to address critical issues that require the attention of the entire Board.
  • A session focusing on Student Achievement will be scheduled in 2026 with partnership from the NJSBA.
     
• Vary Board Meeting locations between buildings throughout the year, holding at least one meeting each quarter in SHRES.
   
• Present a Strategic Plan update session along with the Superintendent to inform the public of progress and prepare for the next Strategic Plan cycle in 2028.
   
• Schedule and receive updates on District Goals as an entire Board on at least 3 occasions throughout the year.
   
• Include specific delineation of current Strategic Plan, District and Board Goals in new Board member orientation.
   

Goal 2: Keeping Student Achievement central, create goals at the committee level to focus work and enable information sharing to the entire Board.
