SHRSD Board of Education Follow-Up 12-16-24

Dear SHRSD Families,

I am sharing presentations from the Board of Education meeting last night. Jane-Ellen Lennon (Director of Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment) did an update on the Accelerate period which was implemented this year in our schedules at SHRES as well as in grades 5 and 6 at WAS focusing on increasing student achievement.

2. Bus Safety
3. Athletic Field Expansion for a 5-12 campus

Superintendent Update 12-16-24

The Board of Education approved last night the installation of turf on the football field at the high school which will help keep as many middle school programs on our campus for athletics for the fall and spring season. Installation will take place during the summer of 2025 so it is ready for the fall of 2025 athletic season. Please see the presentation for more details.
