Project Child Find

The South Hunterdon Regional School District is sponsoring a program called “Project Child Find,” which seeks to locate resident children ages 3 to 21 years old, who might have significant physical, cognitive, neurological, speech and language, medical needs or developmental delays of varying degrees of severity, who are not currently receiving services.

Students who are eligible for the category of “preschool child with a disability” will show significant global disabilities, according to specific criteria, as determined by a full Child Study Team assessment.  Students exhibiting only speech delays, or developmental speech issues, which are expected to be resolved over time, are not considered eligible for this program.

Proof of residency is required!

If you reside in Lambertville, West Amwell Twp or Stockton Borough and have a child who might be eligible for special education please contact your school.   There are free evaluations and programs that provide eligible children the services they need.   Programs are also available to qualified children ages 3-21 to meet these needs as outlined  above and are staffed by caring professionals.   These programs are available to migrant and homeless children.

Please contact your home school for more information.
